This was filmed July 4, 2018 from the Paul Family condo balcony on Coronado Island, across the street from Glorietta Bay, where one one can see sailboats maneuvering near the beginning of the film. The fireworks in the distant right background were at Seaworld. The cars are driving around the front of the Hotel Del Coronado, which one can barely see to the left, but luckily there are multi-colored lights illuminating the smokestack of the hotel’s laundry building. Featured prominently in the right mid-ground is what has, variously through the years, been referred to as “The Boathouse;” the “Charthouse;” and now “The Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill.” The building was actually constructed one year BEFORE the Hotel Del Coronado, and has an identical style. This building was originally the Hotel Del’s boathouse, serving Glorietta Bay.
